Kings Comets
The Kings Comets were formed in 1998 participating with the Mid-Eastern Football League. They had a 6-2-0 record in the MEFL and a 6-4-0 record overall before losing to the Flint Falcons in the playoffs. In 1999 the Comets were accepted into the MCFL when the MEFL merged with the MCFL. The Comets had a 4-4-0 record in the MCFL and an overall record of 6-4-0, again advancing to the playoffs before losing to the Southern Michigan Timberwolves. The Comets returned after a five-year hiatus with current Cincinnati Marshals (NIFL) Assistant Head Coach Brian Wells at the helm. In 2004 the Comets had a 4-4-0 record in the MCFL and an overall record of 5-5-0, advancing to the playoffs before losing to the Indiana Mustangs. In 2005 the Comets had a 5-3-0 record in the MCFL and an overall record of 5-4-0, maintaining their string of playoff appearances and winning their first playoff game against the Southern Michigan Timberwolves before losing in the semifinals to the Detroit Seminoles. The Comets are hoping to continue where they left off and compete for an MCFL Championship.
The Comets are incorporated as a non-profit organization and operated by an Executive Board of Directors.
